【摘要】:Thispracticeprovidesacommonformatthatallowsacomputerdesignsystemtogeneratedatathatanoutputdevicecanaccuratelyreproduceindependentofthehardwaremanufacturer.1.1Thispracticedescribesadataformatfortransferringinformationfromasewnproductcomputeraideddesignsoftwareprogramtoadevicethatproducesphysicaloutput,typicallyintheformofaprintedordrawnimageonpaper.1.2ThispracticeisbasedonasubsetoftheHewlettPackardGraphicsLanguageHPGL/2.Supportedsyntaxandlimitationsarelistedin7.2.UnsupportedsyntaxislistedinX1.1.1.3ThispracticeonlysupportsX-Yvectordataandalimitedsetofadditionalfunctions.Noprovisionismadetosupportbitmap/rasterdatausedinapplicationslikeinkjetprinting.1.4Thispracticesupportsasinglesystemofunits,animagefixedat100%scaleand1:1aspectratio.Scalingandcustomunitsystemsarenotsupported.1.5Thispracticedoesnotsupportcurveinterpolationordefinitions.Allcurvesarerepresentedbydiscretevectors(stroked)andaredependentontheresolutionoftheCADsoftware.1.6Thispracticerequiresthatallcoordinatesareabsolute,notrelative,asdefinedintheHPGL/2reference.1.7ThispracticeonlysupportspositivecoordinatesthataremeasuredfromasingleX-Yoriginpointwithcoordinates0,0.1.8Thispracticeonlysupportsfixedwidthfonts.Variablewidthfontsarenotsupported.1.9Thispracticeintendstotransferastaticimagewithnoprovisionforediting.1.10Thispracticeassumesmonochromaticoutput.Itdoesnotsupportimpliedoutputcolors.1.11Thispracticeimposesnolimitsonthewidthorlengthoftheplotdata.Physicallimitationsimposedbythehardwareandtheireffectsontheoutputaretheresponsibilityofthehardwaremanufacturer.1.12Thispracticedoesnotsupportframeadvancecommandsoranymethodsthatinsertmultipleoriginpointsorfloatingcoordinatesystems.1.13Thispracticelimitstheplotfiletocontainasingleblockofdatademarkedbyacompatibleheaderandterminator.Multipleblocksofdatainasinglefilearenotallowed.1.14Theintendedapplicationofthispracticeislimitedtotheclassofoutputdevicesfoundinthesewnproductindustriesthatproduceapparel,textiles,upholstery,andothersthatusesoftorsemi-rigidmaterials.1.15Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
