【摘要】:Theessentialpracticalusageofwater-emulsionfloorpolishesasrenewablecoatingstoprotectandbeautifyfloors,dependsuponsatisfactoryrecoatability.Thistestmethodisusefulbothinproductdevelopmentandfinalproducttesting,asameansofevaluatingrecoatability.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationoftheeffectsoftheapplicationofawater-emulsionfloorpolishoveradriedcoatingofthesamepolish.Themethodisdesignedforlaboratorybenchpaneltesting.Amethodisalsoprovidedforlargeareatesting.Aratingsystemisprovidedtoindicatetheacceptabilityofthepolishbasedonrecoatabilityperformance.Note18212;Recoatabilityofawater-emulsionfloorpolishisageneral-performanceproperty,andthedeterminationofitisdependentupontheobservationofseveralotherpropertiesofthepolishunderthespecificconditionsexpressedinthistestmethod.Thistestmethodforrecoatabilityisnotdesignedfortheevaluationofotherproperties,exceptasthesepropertiesrelatetotherecoatabilityofthespecificpolishbeingevaluatedundertheconditionsofthistest.1.2Glossasobservedhereinextendsonlytofreedomfromlossofapparentvisualglossuponrecoating,intheexecutionofthistestmethod,andshouldthislossoccur,itindicatesadistortionofthepropertyofgloss,byrecoating.1.3Adegreeofrecoatabilityfailuremaybereflectedfromadegreeoflevelingfailure.Thefailuretolevelshouldbeobservedonlyifitistobeapartoftheobservationofrecoatability.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
